Having been involved in the wedding industry for over 8 years, i have had the great privilege in taking candid natural photos of couples on their wedding day. We have specialised in unobtrusive images that captures the essence of the day as also seen as an emotional investment.. and what better investment than receiving quality images of your beautiful children.
Kids photography can be called an art. To capture the candid image of a young child can be quite a daunting task. Poking funny faces to bribery of sweets, stuffed toys and other entisive measures are all used to create the results you desire in kids photography.
Simply put, it’s the art of distraction. Keep the subject occupied and thinking of something “other” than having a camera pointed at them and you’ll get the best results.
If the kids refuse to stay still for a moment then let them go and circle the studio floor. It’s all part of the game these days.
Shooting kid’s photography really tests your patience. Parents may become agitated as their children refuse to stay put!
If the parents are trying to control the kids too much I figure out a very nice way of conveying to them that they should let me control the kids and that “whatever happens” is fine with me.
The key to success in Kids photography especially the 2-5 year group is to have great patience, patience and more patience…..The results of kids photos are a fantastic tool which captures that moment in life.
